| Before you rush out and buy the first bike that you see, you must decide what you would like to do with the bike. Are you only interested in riding on tarmac roads or are you interested in off road activities. You can even buy bikes these days to plunge down mountains so it's crucial that you decide what you would like to do.
If you are only interested in road riding, go for a pure road bike. They are by far the lightest and easiest to ride.
If you anticipate doing some level of off-road work but mainly road riding, maybe a hybrid bike is best - they offer the best of both worlds.
If you only want to ride dirt tracks etc. then go for an off-roader.
Posture is also an important factor in choosing a bike. Click here for more info on this. |
